I just spent 3 full days at Bootleg Canyon riding some of the fastest, steepest, most technical terrain in my life. I came back bloody and bruised, but couldn't be happier. Thanks to the guys at All Mountain Cyclery for the rental, and sorry about the trashed rear wheel.

The second annual Cut n Paste is this weekend, where friends Narciso Carlos and Tara Lynch will go mouse-to-mouse with other Chicago designers. Good luck, guys.

Last weekend, Extreme Expeditions hooked up some friends and I with an awesome weekend of rafting, camping, cliff-jumping, and general nature-soaked insanity. You haven't lived until you've made a class 5 rapid your b*tch.

Saturday night I'll be at the Hideout celebrating the release of MAKE Magazine's 5th issue: A City in Biography. This issue sports a cover-to-cover redesign by yours truly, some pretty pictures, and a bunch of writing that will make you wish you weren't illiterate. If you're in the neighborhood you should stop by – it would be great to see some friendly faces.

Just got back from CES in Las Vegas, where myself and the 50k team brought home an award for best booth design for Motorola. Stay tuned for an official Vegas update, along with pictures of the trip.

A few months back, I joined an awesome young creative agency, 50,000feet. It's a great fit. Incredible talent, knowledge and challenging work keep me on my toes daily. It's places like these that remind me why I became a designer in the first place.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for coming out to the senior show this past Monday. The show was great! I shook a lot of hands, met a lot of cool people, and received so much positive feedback on my work that it made all the late nights worth it.

After 6 months of sitting on the back burner, the very first iteration of Redhotoven is now online! This should be considered the lite "graduation" version, as more projects will be added and photography will be re-shot and cleaned up as soon as I have the luxury of sleeping more than 3 hours in one night.

Nonetheless, I'm pretty certain that most will find the site crisp and clean with a minimalistic feel that has never been seen in any of my past websites. Thanks for stopping by.

after a much-needed break, i'm back home in chicago! the skydive trip was awesome, and for those of you wondering... no, i didn't wet myself on the way down!

just a few more days and i'll be off to cleveland sport parachute to go skydiving with some friends! all i have to do is get through finals week, and a professioanl review of my book at the chicago portfolio school. hopefully i survive the week... and the jump!
